We enjoyed the heritage walk very much and would like to thank you and especially our guide for this very interesting insight into Mumbai! the city seemed to chaotic, the buildings and streets without any splendour - this walk definitely changed my mind.... Without this tour I wouldn't have recognized all the different architectonic styles or beautiful buildings and areas."

Isabel Specker, Switzerland (2nd January 2010)

Taking a Bombay Heritage Walk through the historic district was a wonderful introduction and a terrific starting point for my own further exploration of Mumbai's fascinating Gothic and Art Deco cityscape. My guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, giving me the key information I needed to gain an appreciation of what I was seeing in an easy to understand manner, bringing much of the colour and excitement of Mumbai's past into the present with her anecdotes and insights. More than just a historical walking tour, my Bombay Heritage walk was an enlightening experience and one of the major highlights of my time spent in fascinating Bombay.

We've both done a number of walking tours, both in India and elsewhere, and would say that the BHW Combo tour was the best walking tour that we have done ever. My husband and I are both history, heritage and architecture buffs and our tour (and tour guide) fulfilled all our expectations and more!

Dr. Nayantara Pothen, Sydney, Australia Research Officer, College of Arts University of Western Sydney Nov 2008

FEEDBACK FROM MEMBERS OF THE EXPATRIATE COMMUNITY IN MUMBAI

We really had a great time. We are expats living in Mumbai and did already some sightseeing in Mumbai and India. But the heritage walks gave us a lot of new insights we were not aware of. In our daily hectic life with working and travelling through Mumbai the heritage walk helped us to change our perspective in different direction...

This was an amazing experience we had. My guests from UK are very pleased and I am very much impressed with the identification of importance of the Indian Heritage and the enthusiasm seen in young people. (Our guide) was excellent and not even for a moment we felt out of sync.

K.S.Bansal, Mumbai (27th April 2009)

“The Heritage Walk was a wonderful experience! All of us have learned a lot about all the buildings we routinely pass by. It was also interesting to learn about the various architectural styles. The beautiful buildings were brought alive. The introductory talk about Bombay was also very interesting.”

FEEDBACK FROM TOURING STUDENT GROUPS

“I would like to begin by first saying how much we enjoyed the walk...We began with some historical information....which provided an excellent context for the rest of the tour. The tour was taken at our own pace, and we were given the time to look around particular points of interest in greater detail ...Structurally, the tour was excellent, and our guide was very friendly and answered a lot of our questions, I will definitely be recommending the tours to anyone planning on visiting Mumbai!”

Isobel Burton, Student traveller, UK (July 2012)

“We thoroughly enjoyed our walk. Our guide was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour, was able to answer all of our questions as well as hold the attention of 8 American teenage girls, not an easy task!”
